GOING TO CHURCH - WHAT TO EXPECT
WHERE DO I GO WHEN I ARRIVE AT ABC?
It can be intimidating walking into our building, so we are all greeters prepared to give you a warm smile, information about our church and help you get to where you are going. As you enter the building, please feel free to ask us any questions you may have. We want you to feel welcomed and comfortable.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Do I dress casual? Like I’m going to work? Like I’m relaxing with friends? Like I am going out for dinner? Well, the easy answer is, “Yes!” When you arrive at Anchor Baptist, you’ll find some business casual, some “Sunday Best,” and some dress casual. We aren’t concerned with what you are wearing when you join us…we just want you to join us.
ARE YOU GOING TO MAKE A BIG DEAL ABOUT ME BEING THERE?
No! Now, we can’t help it when our members introduce themselves, say hello, and ask you about yourself…but we promise not to shine any lights on you, make you stand up, or be otherwise embarrassed. As pastors, we would love an opportunity to meet you. Generally, we are pretty easy to spot. Please, come and say hello.
WHEN IS YOUR WORSHIP SERVICE?
Sunday morning worship is at 10:00 AM and is focused on allowing those present to worship God in spirit and in truth. The service normally includes congregational singing (hymns), bible reading and preaching. We would encourage you to arrive about 5 minutes early so you’ll have time to park and find a seat in our hall.
